BEACH CLEAN UP & YOGA
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 4,
10AM - 12PM
With microplastics on the rise, our Oceans are subjected to damaging chemicals and pollutants. Wildlife preservation and protecting coastal ecosystems is a necessary form of activism and community service to our Earth.
Join us as we gather for a beach clean up at Fort Tilden, followed by a sunny morning practice. All ages are welcomed! Minors must be supervised by an adult. Supplies will be provided, although we encourage you to bring totes to collect trash.
We will meet at the staircase near the Riis Beach Bar Concessions. Clean up begins promptly at 10AM, with practice to follow at 11AM. Please arrive about 15-30 minutes prior to get acquainted with the beach. Parking, restrooms and concessions are available.
Please prepare for a day in the sun with hats, plenty of sunscreen and water, snacks and a beach towel. We encourage you to enjoy the beach after practice.
Public transportation is available, and car pooling is encouraged. Closer to the date, we will organize within the group if there are any willing drivers!
Please RSVP below so that we may bring enough supplies and keep you up to date should plans shift due to weather related circumstances.
